Product Introduction

EMP275DS-T2000

The EMP275DS-T2000 is capable of producing 190 kW continuous power and 275 kW peak power. The weight of this integrated unit is 28kg, and its compact volume is 39.8 cm (diameter) by 22 cm (length). It is currently a very Torque-dense electric engine of its class, with torque density at 71 Nm/kg. Configured in the EM-POWER patent-pending DSSRPT (Dual-Stator Single-Rotor Patented Technology) without gear box, with power-electronics satisfying aviation standards (certifiable by EASA and CAAC) and complete with high-density proprietary winding technology, designed with triple redundancy, this unit is air cooled. The performance specs summary of the EMP275DS-T2000 is shown below.

The EMP275DS-T2000 electric motor can output 190Kwcontinuous power and275Kwpeak power. The integrated motor weighs only28kg, with a compact size of39.8cm(diameter)×22cm(Length).as the motor with the highest torque density in its class, with a torque density of up to71Nm/Kg. The motor adoptsEM-POWER patent-pending DSSRPT (Dual Stator Single RotorhighpowerDensitytechnology) design, without gearbox configuration, and the power electronics system complies with aviation standards (available from EASA and Civil Aviation Administration of China certification),and equipped with high-density patented winding technology, achieving aviation safetyThreeredundancy assurance, uses air cooling for heat dissipation. The performance parameters of the EMP275DS-T2000 are detailed inontable.

The EMP275DS-T2000 electric machine with integrated inverter for motor control offers triple redundancy for aviation safety. The integrated system is designed with minimum distance between the electric machine and the integrated control electronics which minimizes loss and maximizes efficiency. Further, the scalable modular electronics with fast switching Silicon Carbide (SIC) technology combined with short shielded current paths yield highest performance required for high torque aircraft propulsion.

EMP275DS-T2000The motor control system with integrated inverter provides aviation safetyThreeheavy redundancy. The integrated system adopts a design with the minimum distance between the motor and the integrated control electronics, minimizing losses and improving efficiency. In addition, using fast-switching silicon carbide (SIC) technology scalable modular electronics, combined with short shielded current paths, can achieve the highest performance required for high-torque aircraft propulsion systems.

There are three interface connections from the EMP275DS-T2000 to the aircraft system. Two of them are for DC BUS power cables, one positive and one negative. The third connection is for the data cable.

In summary, the core advantage of the EMP275DS-T2000 system is in its high torque density (71 Nm/kg), high power density (9.8 kW/kg), and the high volumetric torque density. The high torque density allows for the use of propellors at lower RPM thereby reducing the noise especially for the large torque required during take-off. The higher power density allows for higher efficiency which reduces the weight required for the battery system which is an important indirect impact to the overall weight of the aircraft, and it allows for more weight for the payload. Lastly, the high volumetric density translates to less aerodynamic drag for the aircraft, saving additional energy from lift thrust for higher range and/ or payload!

In summary,EMP275DS-T2000The three core advantages of the system lie in its high torque density (71Nm/Kg), high power density (9.8Kw/kg) and high volumetric torque density. High torque density allows the propeller to operate at lower speeds, effectively reducing noise—especially when high torque is needed during takeoff. The product's quite high power density reduces the weight of the battery system (which has an important indirect impact on the overall aircraft weight), while also freeing up more space for payload. Finally, high volumetric torque density means less aerodynamic drag for the aircraft, saving extra energy in lift and thrust, thereby enabling longer range and/or greater payload!
